Getting to Ireland
If you're flying in for the first time or hoping to see a bit of Europe and surroundings; here's where to start.
Cheapest airlines in Ireland and all of Europe are ryainair.com and easyjet.com. Our National airline is aerlingus.com (buy Irish!) Other websites to check out; skyscanner.net; kayak.com.
Public Transport
(For other non-wedding days)
Dublin is an easy city to navigate with public transport, although the city centre is small enough to walk or bike around. Check out dublinbus.ie for daily and weekly city bus and train tickets and timtables. We recommend dublinbikes.ie for getting around the city centre. €2 for a 3day subscription and then €1 an hour or cheaper. You need to register a credit card first before you can use them.
Longer distance transport: Cheapest option for getting around the country is the bus. buseireann.ie has all the prices and timetables listed. You can go between the cities for as little as 5 Euro. Trains are far more expensive but you can look at them on: irishrail.ie.

Welcome (Fáilte) to our beautiful homeland. If it’s your first time to visit the Emerald Isle, here is all the help you will need to plan your trip! As seasoned travellers, we hope we have included all helpful info that you travellers require:
Getting around once you land:
Ireland is a small place. You can drive the whole country top to bottom in about 5 hours. Our venue is about a 40-minute drive from the airport/from the city centre. Despite this, the venue is very isolated and there is no public transport in this area. Best option is to rent a car and book it online beforehand. Possibility of some shared rental cars with others who are flying in; send us a mail to ask us about this if you are a solo traveller.
Car Rentals
There is a website called Easycar.com, which compares all the car companies in whatever currency. Others that are available from the airport and the city are:
If you are more adventurous and you want to really travel the country, you can rent a camper van. Take a look at the following sites for this:
retrocamper.ie (for a cool VW)
vanderlust.com (for more luxurious motorhomes)
bunkcampers.com (proper backpacker experience)
Remember you will need a credit card to rent a car and petrol in Ireland is NOT cheap. You are not in the Middle East :D
Most cars in Ireland are manual transmission so if you want to drive automatic you may have to ask for it.
